Bangladesh Internet Governance Forum (BIGF) is going to organize Fifteenth Annual Bangladesh Internet Governance Forum 2020 from 06 – 08 November 2020 at Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The Fifteenth Annual Meeting of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) will be hosted online by the Bangladesh Internet Governance Forum (BIGF) under the overarching theme of UN IGF: Internet for human resilience and solidarity. The program continues to develop around the four main thematic tracks: (1) Data; (2) Environment; (3) Inclusion; (4) Trust.
The theme of "digital cooperation" and the UN Secretary-General's Roadmap for digital cooperation will also feature prominently.
Bangladesh Internet Governance Forum (BIGF) is the national internet governance forum for Bangladesh. Internet Governance Forums (IGFs) are an initiative led by the United Nations for the discussion of public policy issues relating to the internet.
A key distinguishing feature of IGFs is that they are based on the multi-stakeholder model – all sectors of society meet as equals to exchange ideas and discuss best practices.
The purpose of IGFs is to facilitate a common understanding of how to maximize the opportunities of the internet whilst mitigating the risks and challenges that the internet presents. www.bangladeshigf.org
